  • To service providers who help operate our business (for example: ecommerce platform, payment processing, fulfillment, email and SMS providers, analytics).
  • If required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other lawful request.

7. Shopify hosting and payments

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. Shopify provides the online ecommerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the general Shopify application on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your transaction. After that, the purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to PCI-DSS standards managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, a joint effort of brands such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, support shopping cart functionality, and help us understand site usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through on-site cookie controls.

Examples of cookies that may be used:

  • _session_id, unique token, sessional, allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc.).
  • _shopify_visit, no data held, persistent for 30 minutes from last visit, internal stats tracker.
  • _shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight of the next day, counts visits by a single customer.
  • cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, stores information about the contents of your cart.
  • _secure_session_id, unique token, sessional.
  • storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite, used if the shop has a password.
  • PREF, set by Google, tracks visits and origin.

Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to help us learn about who visits our site and what pages are being viewed.


9. International transfers

We may transfer, store, or process your personal information outside your province, state, or country, including in the United States or other jurisdictions, where our service providers or their facilities are located.

Where required, we take steps designed to ensure an appropriate level of protection for transferred personal information, consistent with applicable legal requirements.

United States, including California

If you are a California resident, you may have rights such as the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising, where applicable. We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense, and we do not knowingly sell personal information of minors under 16.

If we engage in sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising in the future, we will provide an opt-out mechanism as required. Some browsers or extensions may send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which may be treated as an opt-out of sale or sharing where applicable.

You may exercise applicable rights by contacting us (Section 15). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

United Kingdom (UK GDPR)

If the UK GDPR applies, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Australia

If Australian privacy law applies, you may request access or correction of personal information, and you may complain if you believe we have mishandled your information. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
